About me.I am a highly motivated, compassionate young professional dedicated to making a difference in community advocacy with a particular interest in at-risk and disenfranchised groups.
My passion comes from a mix of the following significant experiences: My own experiences as an openly gay and Latino therapist in New Hampshire, as well as the unfortunate experiences of friends, families, and communities around the world who experience tragic injustices due to aspects of themselves and the surrounding culture that they cannot control. Leaving my family in New Jersey to pursue my career in New Hampshire has been a challenging yet enriching journey and process, and I plan to use what I have learned to enhance my trauma-informed private practice. I have always been motivated to share resources and chances to maximize the potential of those who need it most, especially those I feel have never had a fair chance. For most of my clinical career, I have focused on working with at-risk adolescent males and gender-diverse youth in congregate care from ages 11-19 who struggled with symptoms related to complex developmental trauma. I have learned that individuals can experience tremendous trauma, yet post-traumatic growth is still possible. There are infinite possibilities for healing when individuals gain access to the right resources, tools, and environments to thrive. I believe everyone is deserving of relief from mental suffering. I wholeheartedly want to end the mental anguish of marginalized and disenfranchised groups while maximizing their full potential. |
